About me

I am Simon Hewitt, a PhD student in the School of Philosophy at Birkbeck College, London, supervised by Keith Hossack and Ian Rumfitt. My main interests are in logic, the philosophy of mathematics, and metaphysics. My principal research is into plural interpretations of second-order logic. I am also currently interested in issues around the nature of logical consequence, and in the metaphysics of properties. In spring 2010 I was a visiting student on the Foundations of Logical Consequence project at Arché, St Andrews.

My academia.edu page is to be found here. I edit the PhilPapers category Second-Order Logic.

When not philosophising, I can be found drinking excessive amounts of black coffee, fiddling with Linux installations and listening to dodgy guitar based rock.
